IN MEMORY OF PATRICK RAY WALKER, DVM


Dr. Patrick Walker founded of Loudon County Animal Hospital & Laser Therapy Center in the early 1980’s. He passed away at age 62 on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. He will be missed.

Dr. Walker did his undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University.

He was known for his civic endeavors. He aided in the establishment of the first animal shelter in Loudon County and in reestablishing the Loudon County Humane Society. He was a member of the Loudon Lions Club and the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universal Church. He was known for his love of animals and people. In addition, he had many hobbies, and enjoyed photographing nature scenes, animals, family and friends. He also spent many hours wood carving and riding his horse, Glory. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving in Viet Nam and was awarded the Bronze Star.

Surviving are his son and daughter in-law, Clinton Neal and Ericka Walker of Texas and his son, Austin Reed Walker of Atlanta; mother of his children, Sheila Rosenbaum; brothers Dwain Walker, Texas and Jessie Lee Walker, Knoxville; sisters Patricia Fay (twin), Bobby Fulmer, Connie Laird and Minnie Moses.
